Peak to Peak Highway Tour
Come and enjoy a scenic and thrilling drive in our Colorado Mountains and feel the experience in an exotic car (maybe the car of your dreams) from Drives at Mile High! Single Day
Flagstaff road and boulder (3 - 8 hours)
Experience a beautiful stretch of road with 13 switchbacks and 1800ft of elevation gain. Drive 30 minutes north to Boulder, and begin the road next to Chautauqua Park and the Flatirons. Weave your way up the road passing by climbers, cyclists, and stop off to take in the expansive views east toward Boulder or west toward the Rockies and the continental divide. There are several hikes nearby to stretch your legs or enjoy a bite to eat on downtown Pearl Street.
Pikes Peak Drive
Experience the legendary Pikes Peak Highway in style! The highway provides you the opportunity to enjoy 19 miles of mountain driving, with frequent pull-offs for you to get out, stretch your legs, and take photos. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views, nearly 7,000 feet of elevation gain, four different Colorado life zones and possible animal sightings, like bighorn sheep and marmots.
Mount Evans 14er Ascent (4-8 hours)
The drive up the paved road to the summit of Mount Evans is as high as you can go by automobile in North America. The two to three hour drive (one way) to the 14,260-foot summit passes through five climate zones and includes many twists and turns the road takes as it zig-zags up the mountain. On the trip, you’ll see a buffalo herd, incredible mountain vistas, two beautiful high-altitude lakes, and wildflowers that can only be found above timberline.. If you’re lucky, you might even see goats or sheep.
Multi-Day
Trail Ridge Road to Grand Lake (2-5 days)
Enjoy incredible views on a multi-day trip of the Rockies. This route will take you northwest to Estes Park and through Rocky Mountain National Park. Experience the twists and turns of Trail Ridge Road along the continental divide as you ascend to 12,000 feet. Depending on the day, you may see Elk herds, but you’re guaranteed to enjoy the mountain views and countless options for short hikes as you descend into Grand Lake. Finish your drive by driving by Winter Park and another classic mountain road to enjoy - Berthoud pass. Along the pass you’ll have the opportunity to test your car’s handling and speed.
Colorado Wine Country (2-5 days)
Explore Colorado wine country in your exotic car rental. This route will take you along I-70 through the Rockies to the Colorado Plateau where the finest Colorado wines are made. Palisade in the Grand Valley along the Colorado River will serve as your first spot to check out the local wine scene. Continue on your journey to Paonia where you’ll be greeted and served in a small, mountain town. Once you’re headed back, enjoy the views along McClure Pass into Carbondale and back along I-70.
